Welcome to Kids Code Bots, a hands-on robotics and technology club for children in Stafford, UK.

Our sessions are designed to help children learn how to think with technology, not just how to use it.

Our curriculum develops as children progress. We begin with LEGO SPIKE robotics, where children work in pairs to build, experiment and solve problems together. As they move through the programme, they are introduced to different technologies, including Sphero and BBC micro:bit, giving them the opportunity to apply the same thinking and problem-solving skills in new ways.

We encourage children to ask questions, break problems down, test ideas, spot patterns and work out why something does (or doesn’t!) work. Rather than simply following instructions, they are encouraged to make decisions, try different approaches and learn from what happens.

The technology we use can change as we continue to develop our curriculum. What matters is that children learn how to approach a new challenge, understand the tools they are using and work out how to make things happen.

The tools may change, but the skills they develop to think, adapt and solve problems can be used again and again.
